Hotel Adler Dolomiti Spa & Sport Resort

“A daydream”

We are in the heart of Val Gardena, precisely in Ortisei, in one of the most luxurious 5 star hotels in Italy where great hospitality and centuries-old hotel tradition meet in an offer of absolute uniqueness. Spa, relaxation, sporting activities and unique culinary experiences all add to the charm of this place. It offers a fantastic panoramic position in the center of Ortisei, excellent starting points for wonderful walks and hikes at high altitude and comfortable and direct connections to the “Dolomiti Superski” area.

Since 1810, the historic hotel has been keeping up with the times and the environment that surrounds it, creating new spaces that invite to holiday in the Dolomites in Trentino Alto Adige, designed for those who want to pull the plug, regenerate and allow thoughts and imagination to break free.

Inside this 5-star luxury hotel, the interior blends with the exterior, creating a warm and natural environment, ideal for relaxing. Tradition and modernity, luxury and simplicity come together, giving life to a unique feeling in its fusion of opposites. As for the wellness center, the hotel offers a closed space with swimming pools, saunas, relaxation areas and an open space, with a park of about 9000 square meters. Inside the Spa you can choose from a myriad of rituals dedicated to beauty and well-being. There is an indoor pool, with the suggestive “crystal pyramid”, an outdoor pool with whirlpools, from which you can enjoy the view even in winter, an indoor and outdoor salt pool, underground salt lake with Dead Sea salts, a panoramic sauna and a Rasul oriental bath. Add to this the many sports activities that the 5-star luxury hotel offers: from walking, hiking, mountain biking, Nordic walking and much more. The Hotel ADLER DOLOMITI is a place from which to enjoy the seasons given to us by nature, which has never been so simple and wonderful.

Villa Cora

“Gorgeous”

We’re in Florence, precisely within a centuries-old park that dominates the Boboli Gardens, in the hills just outside the historic center. The villa is an aristocratic residence built in the late 19th century, commissioned by Baron Oppenheim, which reflects the architectural style of the period, dominated by a great decorative eclecticism. Inaugurated when Florence was the capital of the Kingdom of Italy, over time it has become one of the major worldly and cultural symbols of Florence, hosting international personalities of great importance, to the point that it’s considered the most beautiful among the residences of the Tuscan capital. After several changes of ownership, Villa Cora became an exclusive Grand Hotel in the late 60s. It reopened at the end of 2010 following a thorough three-year renovation.

One of the most important 5 star hotels in Italy is home to a total of 45 rooms and suites, divided into the main Villa and two adjacent structures, all curated to smallest detail, in order to preserve the original architecture of 1800 as much as possible. In the main house there are 4 floors styles: the first, called the piano nobile, is characterized by marvelous original frescoes; the second is dedicated to the former Empress Eugenie, widow of Napoleon III and to the roses that were her favorite flowers; the third is the floor dedicated to the East, in Moorish and Oriental style. Finally, the top floor houses a junior suite inspired by 1950s, which is accessed by a private elevator.

In the adjacent structures, each room is decorated and furnished according to the bourgeois customs of the late 19th century, with ceilings depicting rare and exotic subjects. On the ground floor there is also the SPA. Finally, a small outbuilding, Le Follie, is a solution for those who want total privacy. The rooms are equipped with all sorts of options, frescoed and with full marble bathrooms. Regarding the kitchen, beloved are seasonal and local products, simple dishes, but of high quality. At breakfast, the rich buffet includes a variety of fresh artisanal baked goods, such as pastries, croissants and various types of bread, fresh fruit and juices, eggs prepared in different ways, assorted cheeses, smoked fish and cold cuts. Special à la carte menus are offered for lunch and dinner.

The Spa is connected to the main building by an underground tunnel and includes a tepidarium with a relaxation area, a small gym, sauna, hammam and three large private cabins for personalized treatments. Wonderful also the park, with its evergreen hedges, over 100 types of roses and a large outdoor pool, with heated flooring and water. I don’t think we need to add anything else to describe this piece of paradise, the only thing left to do is to try it.

Nun Assisi Relais & Spa Museum

“Excellence”

The result of the renovation of an ancient monastery, this 5-star hotel, surrounded by the beautiful Umbrian hills, is located in the heart of Assisi. Inside there are 18 suites, all unique, a perfect combination of design, technological comfort and history. The hotel is the result of the renovation of the ancient monastery of Santa Caterina, according to a project that wanted to keep the findings of the Roman era in balance with the lightness of a contemporary architectural vision.

In all the rooms there is custom-made furniture by local artisans and design pieces. To maintain the ancient beauty of the monastery, there is no elevator to reach the rooms. As for the food, included in the price there is breakfast, a very abundant and varied buffet. For lunch and dinner, however, guests can choose to be seduced by the delicious dishes of the chef of Eat Out  – gourmet tavern – inspired by the best recipes of the Umbrian tradition, or at the Nun Bar.

Moreover, in a place out of time, unique and evocative, dedicated to the cult of water for over 2000 years, the Nun Spa Museum is born. It offers a Wellness Collection of Routes, Rituals and Treatments for all tastes. In this Spa the cult of the ancient Romans for the thermal baths and the care of the body is fully re-examined. The Nun Path consists of 4 rooms with different temperatures and humidity levels: Tepidario, Calidario, Sudatorio, Frigidario. The path is structured to have an immediate purifying and regenerating effect thanks to the alternation of moments with high or minimal perspiration. You can also choose personalized health routes, or simply relax with the jets of the Jacuzzi. History of many centuries ago, combined with the availability of every type of service, make this 5-star luxury hotel the place where most of all old and new seem to live together, giving a feeling of pleasant amazement.

Villa Orso Grigio

“Just like a fairy tale”

We are still in Trentino, this time in Ronzone in Val di Non. It’s an intimate structure that does not lack anything. Within this 5-star luxury hotel, which gives the idea of being catapulted into a fairy tale, there are only ten rooms between suites and deluxe, all part of an ambitious project: make you feel at home, with your books, your music, your garden and, above all, your privacy.

The ten rooms are unique in their diversity but at the same time all complete. Some have a whirlpool bath, a hammam, a music library, breakfast in the room, others a secret garden, others a library or a winter garden. These are the characteristics of the rooms of this wonderful 5-star luxury hotel. As for the cuisine, one can speak of traditional-territorial. There are typical dishes such as “Cappelletti with our fossa cheese with Jerusalem artichokes cream” or the “Tagliata de Cervo with cranberry and polenta di Storo and Spadona pear with saffron” . To make all of this unique are the hands of the chef, Christian Bertol and the style of his staff. The vegetables used are those of his own cultivation – the private family vegetable garden at 1000 meters above sea level – and the search for the unobtainable ingredient is the raison d’être of every dish made into a masterpiece. The dining room is a simple, but with a lot of attention to detail, an elegant living room that never slips into excess and is able to offer that typical warmth of our homes. Even the choice of wine is very accurate and for the fans this is the right place: Renzo Bertol is here to recommend. His feeling is oenological, his advice is the result of a complex process that takes care of the dish, the wine and, first of all, the palate of the taster. From this his passion comes the Temple of Wine, a 400 square meters wine bar that hosts 45,000 bottles!

Obviously to complete the offer of a 5 star hotels in Italy, you cannot miss a Spa, a place to relax your body and mind, including massages, hammam routes and various treatments. They definitely convinced me, how about you?

Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria

“The attention to detail, the impeccable service and the breathtaking view of the Gulf”

We move further south, and this time one of the most luxurious 5 star hotels in Italy overlooking the Gulf of Naples to grasp our attention. We are in the heart of Sorrento. 92 beautiful rooms and suites, all with original period furniture and free internet access, a charming bar with stunning views and two fabulous restaurants – Bosquet Terrace and Orangerie  – a unique spa, surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation, a gym with personal trainers, a beautiful swimming pool in white marble of Trani with Jacuzzi, 20,000 square meters of lush garden. This and much more is the Excelsior Vittoria. Each room has its own characteristics, all with parquet and marble. Their story is often traced by the passage of celebrities who have stayed here, in the romantic scenery of the Sorrento peninsula. Particular attention is the suite Caruso with the large terrace overlooking the port, which hosted the famous tenor in 1921 and Lucio Dalla in 1986, who composed the famous song Caruso during his stay.

The elegance that characterizes one of the most famous 5 star hotels in Italy is reflected in the food on offer. The Terrazza Bosquet Restaurant (which is transferred to the Bosquet Terrace of the same name in the summer) is proof of this with tasty menus, a combination of flavors and aromas of the Campanian cuisine, to which is added the personal and curious inspiration of the chef, thanks to the variety and delicacy of organic ingredients from the Peninsula and the hotel’s garden, such as oranges, lemons and oil. L’Orangerie is instead a bar-restaurant located in the orange grove in the pool area. For breakfast we have the Sala Vittoria, with large windows that open onto the Gulf of Naples and with 19th century decorations. The breakfast is an American buffet with a rich offer of hot and cold dishes, homemade desserts and preserves, such as the excellent orange marmalade and organic food.

Finally, with regards to the care of the body, there is no less than a full-blown Spa, where calm and tranquility are the keywords. It offers treatments and other relaxing or firming paths of various kinds. The pool, the gym and the park itself, are just places where the so-called “healthy mind in healthy body” saying has never been so relevant. Definitely luxurious, one of the most incredible 5 star hotels in Italy exalts the already stunning beauty of the Amalfi Coast to its fullest.

What do you think of these magical places? If you have not already done so, book in one of the best 5 star hotels in Italy
